The 'HCI MEDAL FOR SOCIETAL IMPACT' was established in 2022 to be awarded to individuals for their research in the field of Human Computer Interaction, which has resulted in significant societal impact.
The idea of the medal is to inspire younger generations towards accomplishments that leave a major footprint on society and foster well-being and eudemonia.
Each recipient was nominated by an international committee and received the Medal during the conference Opening Plenary Session, followed by their Keynote speech.
